THE SHOP
THE SHOP
The Gathering is a festival where food, art, and culture come together to build a temporary city of creativity. It’s a place where chefs, artists, designers, and makers work under one umbrella, each bringing their own flavour, craft, and imagination. At its heart, the festival celebrates food as a cultural force - a catalyst that sparks conversation, community, and creative expression.
For The Shop at The Gathering, I was asked to create compositions for all the sides of the structure. Parts of the artwork were printed and then some elements along with the characters were handpainted on top to make it look alive. The artwork was also adapted for the four sheds/ covers at the F&B seating area as atmospheric extensions.

A vibrant convergence of food, craft, community, and imagination:
alive, dynamic, and deeply human.
The art explores food as a shared language: messy yet joyful. Through playful characters and surreal forms- the approach is directed towards capturing the energy of the Gathering: cooking, eating, spilling, moving, learning and celebrating together. Floating utensils, playfully distorted bodies and warm colours reflect conversations, memory and community. Designed to flow across the canvas, the work mirrors the spirit of the festival, bringing art and food together in a collective, immersive experience.
